It depends on the number of participants, and their age:
If the party has participants 6 years old or younger, the party room must be booked as such painters needs room to run around and be happy and noisy and we love that.
If there are more than 10 participants, then the party room must be booked.
Parties booked in the party room have fewer restrictions than studio parties. The spacious party room seats up to 25, and there is a minimum charge of 10 participants. Please be sure to see the notes about the kind of food we permit (pizza, snack, cake etc.)
Larger parties are possible when there are no attending guest parents, but guest parents may stay if desired, they may participate in the party as long as it does not turn into an event for the whole extended family.
We’ve unfortunately had parties with ten children paid for and thirty adults using the space as well. That’s not ok….
Parties booked in the colourful main studio may have from 6 to 9 participants, with a minimum charge of 6 participants. The party is guaranteed two tables put together where all the painters will be seated and and we guarantee there will be some space for food and presents. We will usually provide a separate table for this, but if the studio is very busy, a separate table for food and presents is not guaranteed.
For studio parties, the space will be shared with other painters and as such extra consideration must be shown. The studio parties are expected to be drop-off where the parents do not stay. We are very accommodating and understand kids are happy and noisy, but studio parties are limited to 9 or less painters that are at least 7 years old, reasonably well behaved. For studio parties the rules regarding food are not flexible.
